Description from manufacturer
Maxima Summum Prisma Radio has finally landed and, as usual, Varlion dares to challenge the norm with new innovations and technologies that aim to develop the game. Completely unique playing feel. Very easy to maneuver and the ball exit from the racket is enormous! Since there are fewer holes in the sweet spot, more carbon fiber can hit the ball and generate immense speed. Maxima Summum Prisma Radio is a unique racket where the racket's hitting surface is constructed in an entirely new way. Usually, holes in padel rackets are drilled, but in Prisma Radio, Varlion has developed a patented technique to mold the holes directly during manufacturing. This means that the holes and the entire hitting surface are completely intact, significantly reducing the risk of the hitting surface cracking between the holes. Besides the technology itself, Varlion has also analyzed airflow through padel rackets during swings and realized that air primarily passes through the outermost holes. For this reason, Varlion has now created large air intakes near the frame with their AirFlow technology, allowing you to achieve the fastest possible swing. These holes are also molded into the surface, seamlessly integrated.

Thanks to its hybrid shape, bridging round and drop shapes, with medium balance, Maxima has a large and generous sweet spot, and to make this even more generous, Varlion employs their Gradual Holes technology, where holes on the hitting surface are drilled in varying sizes. Maxima is a model born in 2020 from the merging of LW (rounded shape created in 1995) and Avant (tear shape created in 2009). As a result, we achieved a rounded drop-shaped racket, designed for players who seek control in their game without losing power. The PRISMA frame provides better aerodynamics, slicing through the air for a faster swing with 10% reduced air resistance, while the outermost edge of the frame is reduced by 90% and is only a few millimeters wide, so you have the smallest possible contact area that can touch the glass when you dig deep for balls. All this means better maneuverability of the racket and greater acceleration capacity on hits. On the other hand, we've reinforced its most delicate tip (the head) with an adhesive bumper that adapts perfectly to its shape, the Prisma-bumper. This not only covers the frame but also its connection to the racket's plane. The core is Varlion's Winter core and is a medium-hard core that provides good bounce and is adapted for play under 25 degrees. The hitting surface itself is made of a unique layer of Italian 12K carbon fiber, giving you excellent exit without making the racket too heavy. The carbon fiber provides a very good exit on the ball without being too stiff. This gives a better feel from the carbon fiber. The carbon fiber direction is also twisted 45 degrees to create a 3D effect, utilizing more carbon fibers in each strike, and you can maximize the material's potential. Maxima Summum Prisma also features the unique Summum shape, which means the handle is 2 cm longer than usual, and the hitting surface is 1 cm longer than usual. This makes it easier to hit a two-handed backhand and gives a greater leverage effect in shots, allowing more power generation. When it comes to applying effects on hits, it presents a rough texture on the surface called Slice, designed and developed with a series of curved lines that make the ball grip more. Since these contours are molded into the surface, the structure will never wear out. Unique to Varlion rackets is also the way the safety strap is attached to the handle itself instead of the knob. This means the safety strap is almost impossible to tear off. This model is made 100% by hand in Spain at Varlion's own factories. If you're looking for a more offensive alternative to this racket, we recommend the Varlion Bourne Summum Prisma Radio.
