Description from manufacturer
Viper Air is developed for agile players who require a racket that follows their quick movements. A uniquely designed racket head with a sleek design, combined with a lighter weight, results in an incredibly fast racket. This model offers explosive speed with extreme control ability for a fast offensive game. Viper Air has a core built with Babolat's X-EVA Technology. Three different layers of EVA together provide a perfect effect. The two stiff outer layers give extra speed on hard hits while a softer inner layer provides increased margin for error and comfort on softer hits. The 100% carbon hitting surface consists of 16K Carbon, perfectly adapted to the racket’s shape to deliver explosiveness and a surprisingly controlled touch, and the grooved surface combined with a sandpaper surface, 3D Spin+, provides maximum grip and spin on the ball so that the player can put additional pressure on the opponent. With the Vibrasorb System, each hit gains enhanced comfort. This vibration dampening system is integrated into the racket’s neck above the handle and reduces the vibrations that occur with each hit. The result is increased comfort and a reduced risk of injuries such as tennis elbow. Like previous models from Babolat, Viper Air is designed with HPS Technology. The Hole Pattern System provides more speed and control thanks to the drilled holes in the racket being adapted to the racket’s shape and sweet spot. This gives more effect in the hits for more speed and more grip on the ball for increased spin.
