Description from manufacturer
LW Carbon 8 Prisma Pansy 2022 is the successor to the very popular LW Carbon Pansy 7 from previous collections. New for the 2022 model is the racquet now features Varlion's groundbreaking and unique PRISMA frame. A unique racquet on the market, thanks to its light properties and advanced materials. The PRISMA frame provides better aerodynamics, slicing through the air to allow you to achieve a faster swing with 10% reduced air resistance, while the frame's outermost edge is reduced by 90% and is only a few millimeters wide, giving you the smallest possible contact surface that can hit the glass when you dig deep for the balls. All this means better maneuverability of the racquet and greater acceleration capacity upon impact. On the other hand, we have reinforced its most delicate tip (the head) with a self-adhesive bumper that adapts perfectly to its shape, the Prisma bumper. This not only covers the frame but also its connection to the racquet's plane. Just like in previous years, the racquet retains its round and generous shape and has a large generous sweet spot, and to make this even more generous, Varlion uses its Gradual Holes technology, which means that the holes on the hitting surface are drilled in various sizes. This means the holes are made smaller in the center to give you as much hitting surface under the ball as possible, and then they are made larger the closer to the frame they get. The reason for this is to provide you with a larger sweet spot, regardless of the model, and a more forgiving feel. The racquet's core is medium-hard and provides a good bounce on the ball but can also hold up when you push extra hard. On the surface, Varlion, in an exclusive partnership with Italy's largest carbon fiber manufacturer, has used 3K carbon fiber, which is also used by well-known brands such as Ferrari. The carbon fiber maintains a higher standard than usual and also offers more performance. When it comes to applying effect to hits, it presents a rough texture on the plane called Slice, which has been designed and developed with a series of curved lines that make the ball stick more. Since these contours are molded into the surface, the structure will never disappear. Unique to Varlion's racquets is also the way the safety strap is attached to the handle itself instead of the knob. This means the safety strap is more or less impossible to tear off. If you are instead looking for a racquet with a bit more power, we recommend the Bourne Prisma Carbon 2. Or if you are just looking for a slightly heavier control racquet, we recommend the LWC 8 Prisma.
