Together with its other siblings in the Metalbone series from adidas, the Metalbone CTRL was also a huge success in 2021. In the updated version of Metalbone 3.1 for 2022, adidas has chosen to continue developing its absolute most popular features and has taken them to the next level. The soft EVA Soft Performance core, which provides good bounce and speed in the ball, is combined with a responsive surface made of 100% aluminized carbon fiber for better durability and more power in every strike. The racket also has a sandpaper surface for increased spin and momentum. Additionally, the racket has a forgiving round shape to facilitate handling potential mishits and maximize control. Also for 2022, the Metalbone CTRL 3.1 retains the new weight and balance system in the heart of the racket, giving the player the option to change the balance and weight of the racket as desired. This means the Metalbone CTRL 3.1 can be made more head-heavy for more power or provide more control with a lower balance. Alternatively, you can play with the racket as it is. In short, it is entirely up to you as a player to choose which way you want to dominate your opponents. The racket is also part of adidas's new #GREENPADEL initiative, which means adidas plants 3 square meters of their own rainforest to reduce CO2 emissions by 50 kg.

I like the control you get with the racket. I also like that the racket is a bit lighter, but I would like to get more speed on the ball.

Nice hit, but it's starting to become somewhat too soft. Appreciate that the racket is reasonably light and has a large sweet spot.
