Surface
There is a lot to say about the surface. On one hand, it involves which material is used, and the vast majority use some form of carbon fiber of varying stiffness. This can be expressed as, for example, 3K or 18K, which means the number of carbon fiber threads per square centimeter (3000 and 18000, respectively). The harder the material, the stiffer the hit on the ball, but it can also generate higher speed. Another common material is fiberglass, which provides a softer impact on the ball but generally has slightly lower durability than carbon fiber.
The drilling of the holes on the racket and the surface texture (smooth, structured or rough) affect how much spin you can put on the ball according to the manufacturers. Some attempts have been made to prove how much the texture influences the amount of spin you can put on the ball, but we have not found any clear results. Several players feel that the sensation and effect increase, and if it feels good for you, choose a textured surface.
