The bandeja is a sliced overhead shot that isn't very hard. The underspin makes the ball go downward after the wall bounce. It is a very effective shot to avoid giving the opponents a countering opportunity. The bandeja is not intended to be a decisive shot, but the purpose is to win the net and force the opponents into a defensive position.
